Nobuaki Onishi

He molds objects such as branches, bones, industrial products that he finds in daily life using silicon. After molding, he cuts off the top surface of the moldings and colors it. His creation looks so realistic that his viewers are easily tricked into believing that it's the real object. However, once the viewers get a closer look, they will be pleasantly surprised that the objects are not what they portray, and have a more rarified quality. His works show the gap between real objects and the objects that are his creations. His art is questioning the viewers about "What is real?"
